Candlelight Vigil Held Tonight For Health Care Justice

Vigil Being Held On North Side, Includes Musical Performances

 

PITTSBURGH —

A candlelight vigil will be held tonight beginning at 6:30 p.m. in East Park on the North Side in Front of Allegheny General Hospital to draw attention to changes needed in health care system.

The vigil is being held by Consumer Health Coalition, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing health and access to quality, affordable health care for at-risk populations.

CHC furthers its mission through outreach, education no comma and grassroots community organizing. Tonight’s event will feature speakers and musical performances.

The group is calling for a transformation of health care to be all-inclusive, affordable , accessible and accountable.

The vigil includes a special performance by Drum the Ecstatic International Trio, featuring Jim Donovan comma founding member of the band Rusted Root.
