SF man, 92, missing since New Year's, found at hospital

OAKLAND, Calif. —

A 92-year-old San Francisco man who had been missing since New Year's Day was located Sunday morning at an Oakland Hospital.

San Francisco Police told KTVU Walter Wakumski was receiving care at Summit Medical Center in Oakland Sunday morning, and had been there since New Year’s.

According to security officials at Golden Gate Fields Race track in Albany, Wakumski was at the track that day and reportedly had a medical emergency, the details of which were immediately unknown.

Track officials called an ambulance, which transported Wakumski to Summit, where he had been during the police search.

Authorties did not release his condition Sunday, though he was reported to be taking numerous medications for various conditions in his missing persons report.
