Hearing Today For Man Accused Of Touching Boy At Movies

PLEASANT HILLS, Pa. —

A hearing is set today for a man Allegheny County police said admitted to touching a 10-year-old boy in a movie theater bathroom in Pleasant Hills.

The incident happened while the boy's mother and sister were waiting outside for him while he used the bathroom at the Carmike Southland Movie Theater earlier this month.

Patrick Duda, 22, was arrested and charged with indecent assault and corrupting a minor.

According to the police complaint, Duda approached the boy as he stood at a urinal and asked him an inappropriate question.

Police said Duda then grabbed and squeezed the boy’s buttock and said, “Have a nice night.” Duda was confronted by the boy's mother in the theater lobby afterward.

Duda denied being in the bathroom with the child at first, then admitted to his actions, police said.

Movie fans couldn’t believe what happened when they heard about it.

“That’s crazy. It’s inappropriate,” said moviegoer Nicole Henderson. “I would never expect that to happen to a little boy.”
