WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. —
The State House has approved a bill that would make it illegal to tax amusement parks that are designated historic landmarks.
The move would keep Kennywood from paying about $1.5 million a year in taxes to the West Mifflin Borough.
The park said the tax makes it hard to compete with other nearby parks.
The Senate must now approve the bill.
