Hit-And-Run Injures Tow Truck Driver

A tow truck driver is in critical condition and another driver is behind bars after a hit-and-run accident on the Parkway East.

Police said the victim was working on a disabled car when he was hit by the other vehicle around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

The accident happened between Penn Hills and Monroeville.

The tow truck driver was flown to Allegheny General Hospital.

His name has not been released.

The alleged driver of the hit-and-run vehicle faces DUI and aggravated assault charges.

The driver's name is not known.
