Homewood Residents Dealing With Soggy Mess After Water Rushed Into Basements

HOMEWOOD —

Several feet of water rushed into at least two basements Friday morning in the 7300 block of Monticello Street in Homewood.

The Pittsburgh Sewage Authority is trying to determine if a water main break or sewer collapse caused the damage.

Officials are using a camera to investigate the sewer line.

The flooding started around 10:30 a.m.

There is no word on the estimated cost of damage.
