Hot Spot For Gay Hook-Ups Near Kids Park

A restroom just yards away from a playground in South Park is causing big concern for some local parents.

The restroom was listed on the internet as a hot spot for gay men to meet.

The building is across the street from a playground. It is also next to a children's theater.

Some parents said they worry about what their children could walk in on.

Dave Florig said, “It's well known as a place to congregate for certain individuals. I think something needs to be done about it right away. I think that's very scary.”

“A bathroom across from a child's playground is inappropriate for any kind of lifestyle, any kind of sexual relations,” an unidentified neighbor said.

Allegheny County police have stepped up their patrols of the area.

There are also no loitering signs painted on the walls.
