Hundreds Gather In Fight Against Epilepsy

PITTSBURGH —

More than 1,500 people gathered Saturday morning for a walk to fight epilepsy.

The event started at 9:30 a.m. with a run/walk on Federal Street outside PNC Park on the North Shore. It was followed by a tailgate party on the Clemente Bridge.

Proceeds went to the Epilepsy Foundation of Western/Central Pennsylvania.

The foundation provides programs and education to more than 41,000 adults and children in the region who have epilepsy/seizure disorders.

This was the 21st consecutive year the event was held.
