Indiana County Crash Severely Injures Child, Four Others

 

YOUNG TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

State police said the driver of a car on Route 286 struck another vehicle head-on, sending five people to hospitals.

Daniel Hancock, of Clarksburg, Pa., was using an oncoming lane to pass several cars at the time of the crash.

Hancock and his passenger were both taken to Indiana Hospital for injuries.

An elderly couple and a 12-year-old boy were occupants of the other vehicle.

The two adults were taken from the scene by ground ambulance while the child was flown to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Police said the boy's injuries are very serious.

State Police in Indiana continue to investigate.
