Investigators Call Westmoreland County Blaze Suspicious

House Was Unoccupied

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. —

Investigators in Westmoreland County are looking into a fire they believe may be suspicious.

The fire started just before 2:00 a.m. on Schoonmaker Avenue in Monessen.

The house was unoccupied.

Firefighters were worried about the flames spreading to a home and the Salvation Army next door.

A water main break also brought concerns for the crews.

The fire marshal is now investigating the cause.

No one was injured.
