EDINBORO, Pa. —

Authorities in western Pennsylvania said a two-car crash has killed three men, all students at Edinboro University.

State police said a car heading south at high speed on Draketown Road tried to pass another vehicle at the crest of a hill and hit an oncoming car at about 5:18 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the crash killed Domenico Crea, 18, of Erie, and his passenger, John Eyrolles, 18, of Baldwin, neither of whom was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the other car, Sheldon Harmon, 21, of Bolivar, N.Y., who was wearing a seat belt was also killed in the collision.

Both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed from the scene.

Edinboro is one of 14 state-owned universities in Pennsylvania.
