PITTSBURGH —

A man accused of trying to lure a teenage girl multiple times in the Brighton Heights area was ordered to stand trial Friday.

Authorities said Harold Mudd tried to lure the 15-year-old girl into his truck in April and May.

Officials said Mudd was arrested on May 29. At Friday’s preliminary hearing, he was charged with one count of attempting to lure a child into a motor vehicle and two counts of stalking.

Investigators said the girl reported the attempted luring to police on both occasions. During their investigation, police said they learned of another teenage girl who filed a similar report about Mudd in 2010.

Detectives said in all of the reports, Mudd was driving a silver Chevrolet pickup truck.

Anyone who may have had a similar encounter with Mudd is asked to contact police.
