Pittsburgh Steelers undrafted rookie free agent Brandon Lindsey is the latest former Aliquippa star to get a shot in the NFL.
"It's a dream come true playing for your hometown team," Lindsey said.
Lindsey did not get drafted this past weekend but plans to prove he was worth picking up.
"My pride was hurt a little bit, not getting your name called. I definitely have a big chip on my shoulder," Lindsey told Channel 11's Rich Walsh in an exclusive interview at his home in Baden.
Lindsey, who played four years at Pitt, was shuffled around on defense in college but finished his career on the line.
The Steelers plan on using Lindsey as an outside linebacker in their 3-4 scheme.
Lindsey chose the Steelers over multiple free agent offers and called it "the best fit for me, me projecting as an outside linebacker and them playing the 3-4."
The Steelers rookies report to the South Side headquarters Thursday afternoon. Their first workout in the NFL is Friday morning.
