You’ve seen the picture of Jeff Bauman, the man who was being pushed in a wheelchair after having both legs blown off in the Boston Marathon bombings.
Now we’ve learned that after waking up from double amputation surgery Bauman asked his brother Chris for something to write with.
He then managed to scrawl the words “bag, saw the guy, looked right at me.'"
Just a few minutes before the bomb went off and took his legs he found himself looking directly at one of the men suspected to leaving the bombs.
Bauman was said to have given a detailed description of the man to the FBI while he was still in intensive care.
Officials say Bauman’s help was vital as they studied pictures and video while narrowing their search for the men who shocked the country with their acts on Monday.
A look at how the image of Santa Claus has evolved through the years.
