Bruce Springsteen made a stop in Oakland Saturday afternoon, but it was not for one of his usual concert appearances.
Springsteen took the stage at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall for reasons beyond entertaining the crowd of more than 2,000 people. He was campaigning for President Barack Obama.
With the election just days away, Springsteen sang to an audience of mostly Obama supporters and called on them to help get out the vote on Nov. 6.
Allegheny County executive Rich Fitzgerald also took part in the free rally.
