MERCER COUNTY, Pa. —
A Butler County man accused of being intoxicated while driving a stolen vehicle that was involved in a crash was arrested after running away from the wreckage and breaking into a Mercer County home where he sought refuge in a closet, state police said Wednesday.
Bryant Scott Edinger, 44, of Mars is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, driving while intoxicated, receiving stolen property and related crimes for the incidents that occurred late Monday along Interstate 79 and early Tuesday on Old Ash Road in Springfield Township, troopers said.
A resident of the home found Edinger hiding in a furnace closet shortly before 12:30 a.m. and called state police, troopers said. Edinger was treated at the Grove City Medical Center for minor injuries suffered in the crash and lodged in the Mercer County Jail.
