BUTLER, Pa. —
Three men were arrested Thursday night accused of trying to break into a Forward Township home.
Barry Baur works right across the street from his home and told police he saw a suspicious car in the driveway.
Baur told Channel 11’s Amy Marcinkiewicz that he walked over to his house and saw the three suspects inside his house.
“I heard a pop and went to the window to open the blinds,” Baur said. “I came face to face with three guys.”
The suspects took off running and Baur chased them with a shotgun, officials said. Baur shot the suspect’s getaway car multiple times.
“I ran to the back, got my shotgun and went after them,” Baur said. “I shot once and thought I hit them. Then I got another one off before they were gone.”
Authorities said officers were able to locate the car and arrested all three suspects.
Police said Jason Sheppard, Harwinder Sandhu and a third suspect, whose name hasn’t been released because he is a juvenile, confessed to the crime.
