Cause of destructive Adams Township house fire remains unknown

ADAMS TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

Investigators are working to determine what sparked a Butler County house fire on New Year's Day.

Crews were called to a house on Lakeland Drive in Adams Township Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters said the blaze began in the garage and spread to the home, causing the second floor to collapse.

No injuries were reported.

The fire chief said the fire appears to be an accident.
