The Rochester Township police chief said he's doing everything in his power to get what he calls a nuisance bar closed down.
Chief George Yaccich told Channel 11 News that a shooting last weekend inside Armando's Bar was the last straw for him.
"People have had enough," Yaccich said. "I fear that someone is really going to get hurt."
According to police, officers have been called to the bar four times over the past three months.
On Nov. 18 a man was shot in the leg right outside the bar, but wouldn't talk to police. Officials said the next night a woman was physically assaulted inside the bar, but also refused to give police a statement.
Police are still investigating a shooting at the bar on Jan. 20. No arrests have been made.
Most recently, authorities said shots were fired on Saturday. Detectives said a bouncer and bartender were also assaulted.
Marla Murphy, who lives near the bar, agreed with Yaccich that someone needs to be done.
"It's nothing but problems," Murphy said.
Yaccich said he's contacted the liquor control board, and they're investigating.
Armando's employees declined to comment on the chief's comments.
