A 3-year-old girl was found wandering in downtown Pittsburgh Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, a passer-by noticed the girl walking alone on Post Street about 1 p.m. Wednesday. The person alerted police, and the girl was taken to Children's Hospital.
The child's name and condition have not been released.
Investigators said it took them a few hours to track down the girl's parents. There is no word if charges will be filed against them.
Officials said the girl's grandmother told police she fell asleep around 12:30 p.m., and when she woke up, the girl was gone.
Child and Youth Family Services has been made aware of the incident.
