Community helps raise money for family of 13-year-old killed in explosion
A new effort is underway to help a family involved in a deadly house explosion in West Virginia last week.
Hannah Mozingo, 13, died when her house exploded in Follansbee last week.
Residents of the small town said they are eager to help the family in any way they can. Mozingo’s parents and sister were also hurt in the blast.
A nearby printing shop began selling “Team Hannah” T-Shirts this week to honor the young girl. The printing shop owner told Channel 11 News that over 1,000 T-shirts have already been sold.
Mozingo’s family members said they are grateful and overwhelmed by the support.
“It’s so awesome that everyone has pulled together to show their support. It shows how much she [Hannah] was loved because she was a beautiful, amazing girl took way too soon,” family member Stephanie Mozingo said.
100 percent of the profits are being donated to the Mozingo family.
