A former Pittsburgh police officer imprisoned for extorting sexual favors from five women in return for legal help has now been sued by one of his victims.
The 38-year-old woman, who is not being identified because she's the victim of a sexual assault, is suing Adam Skweres, the city and its former police chief, Nate Harper.
She claims city officials should have known Skweres wasn't fit to be a police officer because he failed a psychological fitness test before he was allowed to re-take it and was then hired.
Attorneys for Skweres and the city haven't immediately returned calls for comment.
However Skweres' attorneys said last week they expected he would be sued by at least two of his victims after he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 3 1/2 to 8 years in prison for abusing them.
