DUQUESNE, Pa. —
Fire fears are growing after crews battled three fires in Duquesne late Thursday night and early Friday morning.
Firefighters said there have been five fires in the area in the last three days.
Duquesne firefighters said they're volunteers and are exhausted from the increase in calls.
Crews battled one blaze at a home on North 2nd Street. The fire chief said a family of four lived at the home, but no one was there when the blaze began.
Firefighters said they evacuated a home next door but they were able to keep flames from reaching the structure.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators said the other fires were at two vacant homes and two garages.
The fire marshal is working to determine if all of the fires are connected.
