The Allegheny County District Attorney said that he will not seek the death penalty against a man accused of killing his security guard partner and stealing more than $2 million from an armored vehicle earlier this year.
Ken Konias Jr., 22, of Dravosburg, was formally arraigned on charges in connection with the heist Tuesday morning. He was arrested in Florida in April.
Konias is accused of shooting Michael Haines, 31, of East McKeesport, and stealing $2.3 million from the Garda Cash Logistics vehicle on Feb. 28.

March 21 – Konias’ parents made a public plea for him to “please come home.”
