Dad sues Seven Springs Mountain Resort over man's attack on girl, 11
SOMERSET, Pa. —
A Maryland man has sued Seven Springs Mountain Resort in southwestern Pennsylvania for not preventing his 11-year-old daughter from being attacked by a drunken intruder last year.
A Seven Springs spokeswoman says she can't comment on litigation.
The Tribune-Democrat of Johnstown says Jay Johnson's federal lawsuit alleges the resort knew about other entries into guest rooms and knew there were problems with door locks before the Chesapeake, Md. man's daughter was accosted on March 6, 2011.
Twenty-five-year-old Justin Weber, of Plum, is serving 6 to 23 months in jail after pleading guilty to dragging the girl out of her bed after he mistakenly entered the Johnson family's suite while he was drunk and looking for a misplaced bottle of beer.
