WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. —
A dog in danger of dying was brought to the Westmoreland County Humane Society over the weekend, and officials are afraid there are more in the area.
Kathy Burkley, with the Humane Society, said she thinks the dog was kept indoors and was not fed.
According to Burkley, the dog was hours away from death when someone found it in the Scottdale area and brought him to the shelter.
“We rarely see them this bad and the problem is only that it came from Scottdale,” Burkley said.
Burkley said sometimes people move and don’t take their animals with them, and instead lock them up and situations like this are the result.
Anyone with information on the dog is asked to contact authorities.
