Duquesne Light officials said they're prepared for any power outages during this week's heat wave.
Officials from the company said service crews have extra transformers on their trucks in case transformers get overloaded.
Workers are also being held over for evening and overnight shifts just in case of emergencies.
Duquesne Light officials said customers should turn off non-essential appliances and as many lights as possible to save money during the hot summer months.
