AMBRIDGE, Pa. —
Police are searching for the driver of a pickup truck that smashed into a senior citizen's parked car and fled the scene in Ambridge.
The 76-year-old victim said her car is destroyed and was her only means of transportation.
Majorie Bailey said she heard a loud noise Tuesday night and walked outside to find her damaged vehicle on Economy Village Road.
"I was shocked to see the terrible damage. It's gone," Bailey said.
Neighbor Rachel Miller said she watched as the truck's driver drove away from the damage.
"I think that's awful that somebody would do something like that. I mean, people work hard for their money every day," Miller said.
Bailey said she uses her car to travel to the doctor, the grocery store and to see her husband at a nursing home.
"I'm not surprised. So many things happening these days," Bailey said.
Bailey said she has basic insurance on her car and now must find a way to pay for a new car.
