Man accused of punching fiancee, her sister during bar fight in Sharpsburg

SHARPSBURG, Pa. —

An Etna man is facing several charges after police said he beat up two women, including his fiancee, during a bar fight.

According to the criminal complaint, Dino Shultzaberger was at Jocko’s Bar on Main Street in Sharpsburg when he got into a fight with his fiancee, Patience Damico. Officials said the fight started when Shultzaberger wanted to buy cocaine.

The complaint said the bartender told the couple to leave the bar and the argument continued outside.

“He was looking for coke and couldn’t find it,” Damico said. “He punched me in the face as hard as he could and split my eye open. There was blood everywhere. He got on top of me and continued to beat me.”

Shultzaberger is accused of punching Damico and knocking her to the ground then getting on top of her and continuing to hit her.

Police said then Damico’s sister punched Shultzaberger in the head trying to get him to stop the attack. Detectives said Shultzaberger then punched the sister as well.

“He looked right at her and punched her in the face,” Damico said. “Then he grabbed my head and my neck and bashed it against my sister’s car. He split my head open.”

Damico said she has filed a protection from abuse order against Shultzaberger and had police remove several weapons from the house they once shared.

“I have nine staples in my head right now,” Damico said. “It was a brutal attack. He hit me and my sister like we were men. I hate that my sister got hit. But I keep thinking if she wasn’t there and divert his attention off of me and onto her, I might not be standing here right now.”

Shultzaberger is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief and public drunkenness charges.
