The Armstrong County father accused of duct-taping his 17-month-old son and then taking pictures was ordered to stand trial on simple assault and child endangerment charges.
Joshua Miller’s family supported him Wednesday and said the situation is a misunderstanding.
The child’s grandmother found a picture of the 17-month-old with his eyes and hands duct-taped and called police last Thursday.
Miller’s father-in-law and the baby’s grandfather said he thinks the story is fabricated.
“I love my son-in-law and grandson,” Miller’s father-in-law said. “I really believe the story was blown out of proportion and I’d like to say that my grandson was not taped. I hope these proceedings will make everyone aware of what the actual situation was.”
The man, who didn’t give his name, did not say if he thought the picture was fake or if his son-in-law took it.
