Flames quickly spread from garage throughout Butler Co. home

BUTLER, Pa. —

A father and son were able to safely escape a house fire Monday morning in Butler County.

According to 911 dispatchers, the blaze was reported about 5 a.m. in the garage of a house on Shady Avenue. The flames quickly spread throughout the house.

Investigators said a father and his young adult son were home at the time and safely escaped the flames.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
