Steady rain in Westmoreland County caused some flooding in Latrobe Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Channel 11's Brittny McGraw reported that Route 982 was closed because of water on the roadway from Loyalhanna Creek.

Emergency workers asked drivers to avoid the area.

At least 24 roads in Westmoreland County had to close because of high water, officials said.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials said the following roads were closed becuase of weather-related issues:

• Route 2012 (Brinkertown Road) Youngwood Boro, Hempfield Twp. at the intersection of Depot Street  and Armburst Road. 
• Route 3012 (Yukon Road) Sewickley Twp. Intersection with Derr Road 
• Route 56 Seward Boro Intersection with Route 711.
• Route 1004 (Thatcher Road) between Township Road and Hafterty Hollow in Fairfield Twp.
• Route 1006 (Creek Road) between Main Street and Midget Camp Road in Fairfield Twp Route 259.
• Route 1013 (Knupp Road) near Route 259 and Hypocrite Road in Ligonier Twp. 
• Route 2008 (Jefferson School Road) between Four Mile Run Road and Mansville Road in Cook Twp. near 4 Mile Run Road. 
• Route 3089 (Ruff Dale Road/ Buttermore Avenue / Old Bethany Road / Water Street) from Route 31 to Route 3014 (Plastic Factory Road and Ruffsdale / Mt. Pleasant Road) in East Huntingdon Twp.
• Route 982 between clover leaf of Route 30 and Mission Road.
• Route 259 between Woods Road and Springer Road in Ligonier Township.
• Route 259 between Lincoln and Washington Street near Bolivar.
• Route 2043 (Linn Run Road) near Ridge Avenue in Ligonier
• Route 2045 (Two Mile Run Road) between Lincoln Highway and Route 711 in Ligonier Township.
• Route 381 in Ligonier, ½ mile south of Route 30.
• Route 1011 (Midget Camp Road) between Tantlinger Hollow Road and Girl Scout Camp Road in Fairfield Township.
• Route 4045 (Bouquet Road Bridge) between Claridge Export Road and Sheffield Drive in Penn Twp. / Salem Twp.
• Route 2003 (Water Street / School Street) between Bridgeport Dam Road and Laurelville Road in Mount Pleasant. Downed Utility.
