BETHEL PARK, Pa. —

A group of Bethel Park residents were evacuated Thursday morning because of a gas leak.

Authorities said contractors hit an eight-inch gas line near Library and Church-Hill roads about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to police, the leak has been stopped and neighbors are expected to be let back inside their homes soon.

Officials haven’t said how many homes were evacuated.
