Home searched in probe of Philly girl's abduction

PHILADELPHIA —

Philadelphia police have searched a home in west Philadelphia as they continue to investigate the abduction of a 5-year-old girl taken from her elementary school last month.

Investigators say the girl was taken from her classroom at Bryant Elementary School on Jan. 14 by a woman who said she was her mother. The girl was found by a passer-by early the next day, partially clothed and shivering but unharmed at a playground just outside the city.

Police have been looking for her abductors since. Now, authorities say they searched a home overnight that is several blocks from the school. No arrests were immediately announced.

Police have said they believe the girl was targeted and that they were looking for three `persons of interest' in the case.
