All westbound lanes have reopened on Interstate 80 in western Pennsylvania after a trailer loaded with cows tipped over in what police believe is a weather-related crash.

State police had closed the highway in Clarion County between Routes 66 and 322 following the crash about 2:10 a.m. Wednesday. One westbound lane had reopened by about 6 a.m. and PennDOT says the other westbound lane opened about 8:30 a.m.

State police haven't said whether other vehicles were involved in the crash, or precisely what caused it except to confirm that snowy conditions and icy roads were likely a factor.

Troopers from the Clarion barracks say some of the cows in the trailer were injured and had to be euthanized.
