Jet Ski, boat collision on Monongahela River seriously hurts 2

FORWARD TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

Two people were airlifted to the hospital after a jet ski crashed into a boat on the Monongahela River.

Police said it happened around 8 p.m Saturday near the Riverside Golf Course.

Police said they pulled a man and woman from the water with life threatening injuries after they were ejected from the jet ski.  Channel 11 News has learned that
Lauren Michaelson is in critical condition at UPMC Mercy Hospital. The name and condition of the man have not been released.

Passengers aboard the boat were not hurt.

Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of the crash. 

Forward Township police are investigating.
