Judge orders Paterno’s will to be permanently sealed

BELLFONTE, Pa. —

A Centre County judge has ordered the last will and testament of late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno be permanently sealed from public view.

The order was issued by the judge at the request of a Paterno family attorney, according to The Citizen’s Voice of Wilkes-Barre.

A family spokesperson said the order was intended to preserve “a measure of privacy.”

The sealed will is the only one in the county in the last 18 months.

Paterno died from lung cancer in January at age 85.
