Two teens from a local high school are reaching out to the victims of Superstorm Sandy in a unique way.
Many families in New Jersey are still working to recover from the storm that hit the area late last year.
Officials said Monmouth County was one of the hardest hit.
After learning about the devastation, two juniors from Beaver Area High School began collecting gently used prom dresses for high school girls from that area. As of Wednesday, the girls had collected 70 dresses to donate to Cinderella's Closet, a charity in Monmouth County.
Marisa DiCola and Sara Skerlec said they were looking for a cause to donate to for their senior projects and found the store online.
"We know that prom really isn't everyone's first priority when it comes to the damage from the hurricane, but everyone deserves to be a princess on a special day," said Skerlec.
