BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. —

Police arrested and charged a man accused of stealing nearly 70 bronze vases from a Beaver County cemetery.

Investigators said 40-year-old Andrew Spagina stole the vases from the Grove Cemetery in New Brighton sometime last week.

Police said Spagina lives just a half mile away from the cemetery and was able to sell the bronze vases to a scrap metal company in Aliquippa.

"It makes me feel very upset and very hurt that someone could do that. I don't understand it," said Mary Wengryn.

Spagina is in the Beaver County Jail on $50,000. He faces several charges, including theft, receiving stolen property and trespassing.
