A 26-year-old man continues recovering after breaking his back in a serious snowboarding accident last weekend at Seven Springs Mountain Resort.
The man's father told Channel 11’s Jennifer Tomazic that his son suffered the injury on Sunday and was immediately taken to Somerset Hospital.
The victim was then transferred to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and eventually UPMC Shadyside Hospital, where doctors performed surgery.
The man's father said his surgery went well, but is still in a lot of pain.
According to the man's father, his son is facing a long road but is expected to recover.
