Man cleared in New Year's Eve party killing in Clairton

PITTSBURGH (AP) —

A western Pennsylvania man has been cleared in a New Year's Eve party shooting that left one man dead just a couple of hours into 2011.

An Allegheny County jury on Thursday found Lindsey Wright not guilty in the death of Tauvea Hurt in the Pittsburgh suburb of Clairton.

Wright's brother Keith was sentenced to life in prison in June after being convicted of second-degree murder in the shooting.

Prosecutors alleged the brothers killed Hurt in retaliation for a shooting that wounded Keith Wright a few months earlier.
