Man shot in North Oakland stumbles into café for help

NORTH OAKLAND, Pa. —

Police said a man who was shot in the leg in North Oakland early Tuesday morning stumbled into a nearby café looking for help.

Investigators said the shooting happened on Melwood Avenue around 12:30 a.m.

Officers said the victim managed to walk to a café on North Craig Street for assistance.

Channel 11 News was there as investigators searched a home on Melwood Avenue, but it is not clear if police recovered any evidence related to the case.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. His name and condition have not been released.

So far, no arrests have been made.
