HOMEWOOD, Pa. —
Police in Homewood are investigating after a man was shot twice while in sitting in the passenger seat of a car early Friday morning.
Authorities said the shooting happened at the intersection of Fifth and Frankstown avenues just after 3 a.m. Friday.
A witness told police that an Escalade pulled up next to a Jeep at the busy intersection and someone inside fired four shots.
According to investigators, the victim was hit once in the shoulder and once in the chest. He was rushed to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and is in stable condition. His name has not been released.
Sources told Channel 11’s Cara Sapida that those involved in the shooting had just left a nearby club, but no other information about the shooting has been released.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police.
