Minor flooding reported in northwestern Westmoreland County
WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. —
Heavy, scattered rain showers soaked sections of Lower Burrell, Upper Burrell, Allegheny Township and nearby communities Sunday morning, temporarily flooding some basements and roads, according to Westmoreland County emergency dispatchers, police and firefighters.

Flooded basements were reported in homes along Oaklake Road in Upper Burrell, Sylvan Drive in Lower Burrell and a few other roads. Emergency officials said flooding was not severe.
The storms hit between 7:30 and 9 a.m., dropping about an inch of rain in the northwestern part of Westmoreland County and surrounding area, according to Bob Coblentz, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Moon
