BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio —
An Ohio mother was arrested after police said she left her 9-month-old and 3-year-old children at home for 12 hours strapped to their car seats.
According to police, Kacee Moser had to go to work and didn’t have anyone to babysit her children, so she came up with an illegal alternative.
Police in Beaver Township said Moser strapped the children to their car seats and left them inside the house while she went to work.
Investigators said one of Moser’s friends got curious about who was watching the children. That friend went to the family’s home, found the children inside alone and called police.
“We went over to the house. We weren’t able to get in initially, so we had to force our way in,” Beaver Township police Det. Lt. Eric Dattilo said.
Moser turned herself into police and is face several charges, including third-degree felony abduction and child endangerment.
The children are in the custody of child services, and officials said neither showed signs of abuse.
