Attorneys for former Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper said he is ready to plead guilty.
Monday was the deadline for Harper’s attorneys to file pretrial motions. They said they will not be taking any further action.
Harper is accused of using more than $30,000 in city funds for personal gain. He is also accused of failing to pay taxes.
The former police chief’s attorneys said they are hoping Harper will be sentenced to house arrest, rather than the 12-18 months in federal prison that sentencing guidelines call for.
A sentencing date has not been set.
