A new security screening process that may speed up the security line went into effect Tuesday at Pittsburgh International Airport.
A new pre-check program is designed to make if faster for those who are enrolled in a trusted traveler program.
Frequent fliers enrolled in the program will not have to remove shoes or jackets when they go through security.
Officials from the Transportation Security Administration said security officers can still randomly select items for closer inspection.
Pittsburgh International is the 28th airport to implement the new system.
