PITTSBURGH —

The Penguins are opening training camp to the public Sunday as they prepare for their Jan. 19season opener.

The 3:10 p.m. practice will be held at the team’s Southpointe practice facility.

Following Saturday night’s signing of a memorandum of understanding by the league and players’ association, Sundays practice will be the first at which coaches are permitted to be in attendance.

The MOA officially ended the NHL lockout and was required before teams could begin their training camps.

The Penguins will play their first game Saturday at Philadelphia.

You can watch the puck drop at 3:00 p.m. on Channel 11.
