Police standoff ends peacefully in Jefferson Township

PITTSBURGH —

Police said three men are facing charges after they fled into the woods, which led to a long search.

Police said a suicidal man and his two friends were firing shots into the wooded area in Jefferson Hills. According to our news exchange partners at TribLIVE, before police arrived, 23-year-old Justin Decroix and his friends, Adam Mains and Mickel Golva, both 22, ran behind Decroix's home.

When police went to check out the scene, they said they heard the trio keep firing shots.

No one was hurt.

Walton Road closed while police negotiated with Decroix. He surrendered peacefully around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police have not yet filed charges.
