Despite the water temperature being 33 degrees, the Pittsburgh Drowned Hogs took their eighth annual plunge on Saturday at Riverfront Park in the South Side.
Those swimmers who take the plunge raise money for Circle C Youth and Family Services.
"This is my fifth leap this year. I serve on Circle C's board of directors,” said Ed Shea. “Circle C changes youths' lives every day. They're life changers.”
After the plunge, participates were invited to the Hog Thaw jam for music, warm food and drinks.
